Foreigners and Colombians who do not live in Colombia must show their passports with the PIP-5 or PTP-5 stamps, or Visa TP-11 to avoid being charged VAT at the check in time.

All guests must show a valid credit card at check-in to deposit COP 100.000 at the front desk as a guarantee for incidentals and additional charges. Deposit will be returned to guests at the moment of check-out. At that time, only the exact amount of charges during the stay will be charged.

In accordance with Colombian tax law, foreign citizens and non-resident Colombian citizens who receive certain stamps or visas upon entry into the country will be exempt from paying the 19% VAT tax. The exemption will only apply in certain cases to be reviewed at the reception.
