Originally our family beach house, Sazani Beach now welcomes you with the warm hospitality of a private lodge. Each ensuite room features charming four-poster beds and unique furniture made from reclaimed dhow wood, all connected to our serene beach via sandy pathways winding through vibrant tropical gardens.

We pride ourselves on our strong sustainability ethos. Our energy comes from solar power, we keep plastic use to a bare minimum, and all our water is boiled, filtered, and served in glass bottles. Plus, we source our ingredients locally, blending Zanzibar’s spice island flavors with inspiration drawn from our family travels.

Built with local materials and traditional methods, our lodge radiates rustic charm. Since fresh water is becoming scarce on the island, we’ve opted not to have a pool. Instead, just take a dip in the ocean and enjoy our award-winning beach!

Our solar power system means no AC, TV, or fridges in the rooms, but don’t worry—ample fans and the soothing sea breeze keep you comfortable.

As a small independent lodge, we’re dedicated to ensuring that tourism works hand in hand with our local community, providing them with sustainable access to the natural resources they rely on.
