From 1 January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night applies to all foreign guests at Flora Bay 1. This tax is not included in the room rate at Flora Bay 1 and must be paid at check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or permanent resident MY PR Card are exempt from this charge at Flora Bay 1. Guests have to take a boat transfer from Kuala Besut Jetty to Perhentian Island, where Flora Bay 1 is located.
Most of the boat operators are not licensed and they will wait for a minimum of 12 passengers to fill one boat before ferrying them to the island
There are no specific timings from Kuala Besut Jetty to Perhentian Island. Ferry starts operating from 08:00 - 16:00.
