The traditional rooms at Yunominesou Ryokan are a true retreat, featuring sliding paper screens, comfy floor cushions, and Japanese futon bedding laid out on tatami (woven-straw) floors. Guests can relax in cozy Yukata robes and enjoy the convenience of an LCD TV. Each room has its own toilet, an electric kettle, and a fridge for your snacks and beverages.

Just like the ryokan's serene experience, the surrounding area also offers plenty of natural beauty. You'll find the beautiful Kumano Kodo forest path, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, just a 10-minute walk away. Plus, it's conveniently located 37 km from JR Shingu Train Station and 53 km from JR Kiitanabe Train Station, with free on-site parking available.

For those who enjoy a bit of fun, there's ping-pong and billiards to keep you entertained, and you can also browse through the gift shop for unique souvenirs. Don’t forget about the two private hot-spring baths available for your use!

Journeying through delicious Japanese flavors, the ryokan serves a set-menu breakfast and dinner right at their restaurant. If you’ve opted for dinner included in your rate, please be sure to check in by 18:30, as late arrivals might miss out on the evening meal, with no refunds available. Note that there are no restaurants in the vicinity, so dining at the hotel is highly recommended.

Important information

Please note that it takes 4 hours to travel to the property from Kansai International Airport via public transport. When using public transport from Kansai International Airport, guests must catch the train departing at 14:32. Trains departing the airport at a later time will not take guests all the way to the property, as local transport will not be available by the time guests arrive in the area. The last train from JR Kii-Tanabe Station departs at 16:40.

If there is no public transportation between the ryokan and the nearest station due to weather conditions, etc., a free shuttle service will be provided. Call the ryokan from the station to use.

Guests eating dinner at the hotel must check in by 18:30.

Guests without a meal plan who want to eat breakfast and/or dinner at the hotel must make a reservation by 16:00 on the date of arrival.

Please note that children's meals are not included in the price of the room. A children's menu is available for children under 12 years of age at an additional charge.At Yunominesou, guests with tattoos may be restricted from using public bathing areas or other facilities where tattoos are visible.
